WHO WE ARE

Growing up in the North East of England in a family with a long history in education and real estate, there were only really two options and I eventually chose the latter.

Whilst working in the property & construction industry, I became more and more frustrated by the waste removal services upon which I relied several times a week. The irritations arose from being frequently let down, the unreliability of a brief being actioned, occasional dishonesty and a general lack of competence and communication. Trying to find a reputable and reliable company which was also competitive and environmentally sensitive was quite a struggle.

From this came the lightbulb moment, and the result was the creation of Wasted. Wasted is built on the three pillars of:

We researched our business, learned what to do when, and worked through the legal requirements of waste disposal, and the environmental benefits. And at the same time, we worked out how we could work efficiently and stay competitive while trying to break into the market.

In our first year of trading, we completed over 850 jobs! With happy customers and amazing feedback we proved to everyone and in particular, our customers, that waste can be dealt with efficiently, by a reliable company whilst not breaking the bank. The trust we have built up with all our clients and customers from so many different backgrounds proves our success. We track all our waste, offering our customers peace of mind secure in the knowledge that we are taking care of their waste and our planet.

Frequently Asked Questions

What happens to the waste when you take it away?
When we remove your waste it is taken to a processing facility where it will be sorted, segregated and processed in the most efficient and environmentally responsible manner.
How do I know you dispose of the waste properly? Do you provide Waste Transfer Notes?
For all waste collections we provide the customer with a copy of the Waste Transfer Note (WTN). This is a legally required document which contains all our information and states where we have taken the waste to be processed.
Does the waste have to be outside?
Not necessarily, we can collect the waste from anywhere on your property. We will have worked out access with you in advance of the collection.
How much waste can you take in one load? How frequently can you collect from one site?
We can collect approximately 10 square metres of waste in one load, but this can vary depending on whether we are collecting awkwardly shaped or extremely heavy items. If you need help working out size, shape and weight – and why shouldn’t you? – then just give us a call. One of our helpful and very experienced members of staff will be happy to give you tips on how to work it out or we will supply a free, no obligation quote.
What kind of waste can Wasted collect and dispose of?
We can accept all non-hazardous waste. As a guide, hazardous waste includes asbestos, paint, liquid chemicals or solvents, car batteries, raw meat, clinical or biological waste, fire extinguishers, gas bottles, oils or petrol – these all must be collected and disposed of by waste companies specialising in these areas.
How do I know you are reliable?
All you have to do is check out some of our reviews on Checkatrade. We also have lots of clients who come back to us time and again, because we are just that – reliable!
Plus we offer tracking on all our jobs so we can provide you with details of where we’re coming from and where we’re taking your waste. This is also where the WTNs come in to play, they are legal documents.
